Restaurant im Landhotel Wental in Bartholoma

Very nice hike in the snowy Felsenmeer & Wental. At the beginning a few skiers who use the hiking trail as a cross-country ski run. In the forest then pure nature and not a soul. Great, because the sun came out too.

Nice “excursion corner” on the Eastern Alb. And the country hotel and above all the bright and cozy restaurant offers a rich selection of food and drinks. And well and tasty cooked and served. It is worth visiting or going there.

Excellent game cuisine, but also otherwise appealing menu. Very friendly staff for a pleasant stay.

Very pleasant ambience even during Corona times. The hotel room was very nice and clean. There is a spacious playground for the children. The food is delicious Swabian cuisine, but the selection should be a little bigger. We had an all in all pleasant stay. Thank you for the great weekend and the great party.

Thank you for the perfect end to our trip to the Felsenmeer! Very nice ambience, fast service and great value for money. Extremely family-friendly with a children's menu including coloring pictures. The colored pencils were brought to the table immediately :-) Perfect onion roast, delicious hash browns with a very good salad. Nuggets, french fries and spaetzle with cream sauce for the children at a more than fair price and really delicious. It's a shame that we live 50 kilometers away, otherwise we would be guests more often from today. ------- @Andi and all mask refusers / forgeters: It really isn't too much to ask for a mouth and nose protector on the way to the table or to the toilet. The staff wears them all day to protect us, so we can do this in return during a visit.

Well again such a restaurant that thinks it must be exaggerating with the corona measures. Although the Corona regulation does not provide for it, you have to wear a mask. If you come in without a mask, you get snapped at in an unfriendly tone. Done for me! To your answer no, you do not know the regulation !!! Before you claim it is in the regulation, read § 3 of the regulation! And the argument just doesn't count! For your information I don't have to wear a mask according to the regulation! Your employees in customer contact, yes!

A very nice selection of dishes that are superbly prepared. Great value for money and a cozy atmosphere on late summer evenings in the garden. The staff is very friendly, unfortunately a waitress caused a shake of the head: A late delivery sundae was dryly commented with "has stood for a while" (one of the three scoops was as good as missing). The good woman didn't know whether she was delivering beer or shandy, you should just try it (didn't seem like humor). The first case in particular should have been dealt with much better.

We were only in the restaurant, very nice and large outdoor area, friendly service, the disinfectant in the entrance area was unfortunately empty.

Go for the deer meat dishes!

The food is really great and, above all, to the point. There are also really great ideas that can be used to pleasantly pep up the food ... I can only recommend it!

Friendly and fast service with delicious food. Large outdoor area, large parking lot, clean and modern toilet. Ideal to stop off after a hike or a walk in the wental.

Great area for hiking.

The country hotel is easy to reach, parking spaces in front of it. The dishes are tasty and are freshly prepared. The service staff is friendly and thoughtful. Highly recommended as an excursion restaurant on the Alb Schäferweg

Fantastic beer garden in super surroundings. Well visited by locals and people in the know.

My son-in-law has been visiting the Wental since he was a little kid but had never eaten here. We had the Jagersnitzel and spazle and it was out of this world. We were all impressed with the food and the atmosphere was really nice also.

Clean, confortable, good breakfast and have a spa on the premises. But be careful if you arrive late: the restaurant time is till 10 pm but they could decide it to close at nine if there are no customers, leaving you without dinner in the middle of the German country side. Plus they try to teach you that you should have called in advance. They did not want to listen that we were guests on our third night there, dinning each night and the restaurant kitchen was supposed to be open one hour more.. They even refuse to give as a bit of bread and cold meat cuts.. They spoiled the whole experience

Pretty decent place! You can get pretty good food here. Also very nice place for families, especially if you want to go to the "Wental" nearby, where there are nice rocks for the kids to climb on!

The hotel is located close to a few small town and villages. But you are feeling how in deep forest. There you can also have two kind of tour. One is opposite to hotel. In natural area with interesting caves and nature. Look like as bottom of a sea. And next one is trees around and inside the meteorite crater.
